Head south to the 6th-century monastic ruins at Glendalough, perfectly set in the Wicklow Mountains. Here, a stroll through the grounds reveals a 100-foot-tall Round Tower, amazingly well-preserved for its age of nearly 1,000 years, stone churches and St. Kevin’s Cross, an enormous cross carved from a single piece of granite. Admire more delicate works of art during a Local Specialty experience at the House of Waterford Crystal in Waterford. Then head to Cork, the “Rebel City.” Celebrate Brendan's 45th Anniversary with an entertaining and informative presentation tonight: A Local Expert historian will share seafaring tales and stories of Cork’s history, recalling the sinking of the Lusitania and Cobh, the last port of call for the ill-fated RMS Titanic.

Then head to Blarney, where you can climb to the top of Blarney Castle to plant a kiss on the famed stone and acquire the "gift of the gab." Your day starts winding around the picture-perfect Ring of Kerry. Take in the views of coast and sea, fields and rolling hills in this landscape that has inspired artists and poets for centuries. Stopping at beautiful Torc Waterfall, you have the change to join a leisurely guided hike. As you walk, you’ll have magnificent views of the lakes, bay, and mountains. Or, if you would rather, reboard the motorcoach and return to Killarney. NOTE: The hike travels over wooded paths. While there are no mountains to climb, walkers need to be fit and have good walking shoes or boots, sunscreen and raingear. Approx. 3 miles/2 hours.

You’ll have the chance to board a replica Boeing 314 to experience life as a passenger on the aircraft. Foynes is also the birthplace of Irish Coffee, a Local Specialty, and you’ll sample the famous beverage.
