Day 1
Depart USA

 

Day 2
On arrival in Dublin you are transferred to your romantic 5* accommodation in the centre of Dublin City, The Shelbourne Hotel. A ntional treasure in the eyes of Dubliners, The Shelbourne Hotel is located on St Stephen's Green near the main shopping area, Grafton Street. Take a stroll through St Stephen's Green Park, Ireland's best known Victorian public park which was re-opened by Lord Ardilaun in 1880 for the citizens of Dublin. Enjoy a Champagne Afternoon Tea in The Shelbourne.

Day 3
This morning visit the shrine of St Valentine in Whitefriar Street Church in Dublin. Afterwards take a romantic stroll through the Iveagh Gardens, and enjoy some of the unique landscape features which include Rustic Grotto's and Cascade, sunken formal panels of lawn and a maze. Join your Hop on Hop off City Sightseeing tour and maybe visit Trinity College and the Book of Kells.

Day 4
Travel to the monastic ruins of Glendalough, settled in the 6th century. Continue to Waterford. Visit the House of Waterford Crystal, for a visual journey of over 225 years of glassmaking. Then meet master storyteller Jack Burtchaell for a stroll around the city. Jack will tell you all about the history of Waterford City including the story of the marriage of Aoife who was the daughter of the King of Leinster to Strongbow a Norman warrior in 1170. Arrive at Waterford Castle, your accommodation for the night, and take the romantic boat trip across the Island to reach the castle.

Day 5
Travel on to Cork city, Ireland's third largest city after Dublin and Belfast. Why not visit the English Market? It is one of the oldest markets in Cork and a main shopping institution of Corkonians and visitors alike. Sit and enjoy a coffee at your leisure and a wonderful chocolate or two. Continue to your accommodation for the night, a genuine farmhouse not far from Cork, where you will be warmly welcomed by your host, Bernadette.

Day 6
Stop at the Old Midleton Distillery, home of Jameson Irish whiskey for a tour. Next visit Blarney Castle and kiss the blarney stone to receive "the gift of the gab". Arrive in the lively town of Killarney.

Day 7
Today, travel the road that winds around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the Ring of Kerry. Why not stop en route for a picnic and take in some of amazing scenery of this part of the country. Take a jaunting car ride through the beautiful Killarney National Park and admire more of the spectacular scenery.

Day 8
Visit the majestic Cliffs of Moher, take a 1 hour cruise underneath the stunning cliffs. The Cliffs of Moher rise to a height of over 700ft/214 meters. The cruise sets out from Doolin pier and follows the cliffs as they climb to their magnificent height. End your vacation in the luxurious surroundings of Dromoland Castle, one of the few castles that can trace its ownership back to Gaelic royalty. Treat yourself to dinner in the Earl of Thomand restaurant.
